What is P.A.R.T.Y.?P.A.R.T.Y. stands for Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth. (http://partyprogram.com) The P.A.R.T.Y. Program is a dynamic, interactive program designed to teach youth (13-18 years of age) to make better choices by showing consequences of poor choices. What is P.A.R.T.Y.'s mission statement?To promote injury prevention through reality education, enabling youth to recognize risk and make informed choices about activities and behaviors. This program is making a difference with our youth and saving lives!What happens during the day?P.A.R.T.Y. takes students on a realistic and sometimes explicit journey to the scene of a mock car crash, they then follow the path from the emergency room through rehabilition. Students will eat lunch, try writing checks, or even button a shirt with a disability. The students complete the day by getting to talk to real people that have been affected by risk and serious injury or death.Who brought the P.A.R.T.Y. program to Casper?The Wyoming Medical Center (www.wmcnet.org) and the Casper Police Department (www.casperpolice.com) have combined forces to provide teenagers with an educational program that will give them insight to make better choices. This program is offered free of charge to the public.
